Timothy M. Armstrong, born on December 21, 1970, is an American business executive. Armstrong began his career in journalism, becoming known for his online advertising sales in the 1990s. He was the CEO of Oath Inc., a subsidiary of Verizon Communications encompassing digital content subdivisions like AOL and Yahoo!. Before that, he served as CEO of AOL Inc. from 2009 until Verizon acquired it in 2015. He held positions at Google, including President of Google Americas Operations. He is also involved as an angel investor in numerous projects, such as Tequila Avion, and serves on various boards, including The Priceline Group, Inc. He also co-founded the United Football League. He is focused on building the infrastructure for the direct-brand economy through experiences, platforms, and investments.
