Cassidy, born Barry Adrian Reese on July 7, 1982, is an American rap and hip-hop artist. He hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cassidy’s career took off with the hit single “Hotel” in 2003, which reached significant positions on Billboard charts and the UK Singles Chart. He released his debut album, “Split Personality,” in 2004. In March 2005, Cassidy released the Platinum single “I’m a Hustla”, followed by an album of the same name in June, which reached #2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts. He took a break from music to serve time in prison and recover from a car accident, then he released his third album, “B.A.R.S. The Barry Adrian Reese Story,” in November 2007. Cassidy also engaged in a “Twitter beef” with Meek Mill in 2012, resulting in the release of diss tracks by both artists. In 2013, he released the mixtape “Don’t Trust Anyone” and followed it with several more, including “Da BARbarian” (2016) and “Numbers” (2019), then released his fifth album, “Da Science,” in 2020.
