Early Life and Career Beginnings
Casey Wasserman was born in Los Angeles, California, to Lynne Wasserman, a Los Angeles socialite and philanthropist, and Jack Myers (formerly Meyerowitz). After his parents divorced when he was seven, he was raised by his mother. He later adopted her maiden name to align himself with his maternal grandfather, Lew Wasserman, a Hollywood mogul and former president of MCA. Lew Wasserman mentored Casey, significantly influencing his career path, providing him with insights into the entertainment industry. Casey attended Brentwood School in Los Angeles and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UCLA in 2000. The 3-acre property included an 85-foot infinity pool and parking for up to 30 cars. The house finally sold in June 2020 for $68 million to music mogul David Geffen. In August 2020, Casey Wasserman purchased a new home in Beverly Hills for $23 million. His wife, Laura Ziffren Wasserman, purchased a Peter Choate-designed estate in Brentwood for $10.7 million in 2022.
