John Wall is an American professional basketball player. He is best known for his nine-season stint with the Washington Wizards of the NBA, having first been drafted by this team back in 2010. He played college basketball for one year at the University of Kentucky before entering the NBA. Wall is a five-time NBA All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Team in 2017. During his NBA career, He played for the Wizards for nine seasons, from 2010 to 2019, and was a Six time NBA All-star from the 2014-18 season and also led the league in assists per game in the 2016-17 season. Wall was born on September 6, 1990, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. In 2017, he signed a four-year, $170-million contract extension with the Wizards. Wall has supplemented his income considerably over the years with a number of brand endorsement deals. In the mid-2010s, he became the new face of Reebok’s ZigTech shoe line after signing a 5-year deal with the brand. Wall bounced from the Washington Wizards to the Houston Rockets in a 2020 trade, and then to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2022 free agency. He was traded back to the Rockets in 2023 and then waived.
