Besides ‘The Sopranos,’ De Matteo has appeared in several other successful television shows, including ‘Desperate Housewives’ as Angie Bolen, ‘Joey’ as Joey Tribbiani’s sister Gina, and ‘Sons of Anarchy’ as Wendy Case. She has also played roles in films such as ‘Swordfish’, ‘Assault on Precinct 13’, and ‘New York, I Love You’. Drea de Matteo was born in Queens, New York City. Her mother, Donna, is a playwright and playwriting teacher, and her father, Albert, was a furniture manufacturer. She is of Italian descent and studied film production at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
