Aimee Garcia, born Aimee Sandimés Garcia López de Ordóñez on November 28, 1978, is an American actress and writer. A Chicago native of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, she began her performing career at a young age, making her stage debut at seven years old in “Cinderella”. She attended Northwestern University, graduating with triple majors in economics, journalism, and French. Unsatisfied with finance work after graduation, she pursued acting, moving to Los Angeles in 2002. Garcia is known for her roles as Veronica Palmero on the ABC sitcom “George Lopez,” Jamie Batista on the Showtime drama “Dexter,” Yvonne Sanchez on the CBS period drama “Vegas,” and Ella Lopez on the Fox/Netflix drama “Lucifer.” She has also appeared in films like “Major Movie Star” and “RoboCop”. Aimee has also ventured into writing, co-authoring comic series and screenplays, and co-founded Scrappy Heart Productions.
