He began his career by signing with Machine Entertainment Group in 2011 at the age of 16. He first garnered attention in the rap scene with the release of his mixtapes, most notably ‘Welcome to Fazoland’ in 2014, and has since cemented his place in the hip-hop industry. G Herbo’s music often reflects his experiences growing up in a challenging environment on Chicago’s South Side. His debut studio album, ‘Humble Beast,’ was released in 2017 to critical acclaim. He’s known for his drill and trap infused sound, and he has also launched the ‘Swervin’ Through Stress’ initiative, a program that provides mental health resources to Black youth. He has made numerous featured appearances on songs by other rappers, most notably with Nicki Minaj, Lil Durk, and Polo G, among others.
