Ronald Isley, born on May 21, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as the lead singer and founding member of the family music group, The Isley Brothers. Ronald began singing at a young age in church and later with his brothers. The Isley Brothers rose to fame in 1959 with their hit song “Shout.” Over his career, Isley has been the consistent lead vocalist, guiding the group through soul, R&B, funk, rock and progressive soul. He created the persona “Mr. Biggs” in 2001. Beyond the Isley Brothers, Ronald has collaborated with Burt Bacharach, R. Kelly and released solo albums including ‘Mr. I’ and ‘This Song Is for You’. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 as a member of The Isley Brothers. Despite facing legal challenges, Ronald Isley remains an influential figure in music.
