Adrian Gonzalez, nicknamed “A-Gon” and “El Titan”, is a retired Mexican-American professional baseball first baseman. Born on May 8, 1982, in San Diego, California, he played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for several teams, including the Texas Rangers, San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Mets. Gonzalez was the first overall pick in the 2000 MLB draft by the Florida Marlins. He is a five-time All-Star, a four-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a two-time Silver Slugger. He represented Mexico in the World Baseball Classic in 2006, 2009, 2013, and 2017. During his 15-year MLB career, Gonzalez was known for his hitting ability, both for power and average, and his defensive skills at first base. He retired with a .287 batting average and 317 home runs. Off the field, Gonzalez is involved in various business ventures and real estate investments.
