Overview
James Ray Hart, born on January 1, 1944, is an American professional wrestling manager, executive, composer, and musician. He gained prominence in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), earning the moniker “The Mouth of the South.” Before his wrestling career, Hart was a member of the rock band The Gentrys, known for their 1965 hit “Keep on Dancing”. Hart was brought into wrestling by Jerry Lawler. Throughout his career, he managed numerous wrestling stars, including Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Jerry Lawler, Greg Valentine, King Kong Bundy, Ted DiBiase, and The Giant. Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and remains active with WWE in a Legends capacity.
