Thomas John Digweed, born on January 1, 1967, in Hastings, England, is a highly influential British DJ, record producer, and actor. He is renowned for his pioneering contributions to the progressive house genre and has maintained a prominent career spanning over three decades. Digweed began DJing at the age of 15 and gained recognition for organizing successful club nights and raves at Hastings Pier, featuring renowned acts like Carl Cox and The Prodigy. In 1993, he formed a lasting partnership with DJ Sasha, promoting progressive house music and releasing the first commercial compilation for a nightclub, ‘Renaissance: The Mix Collection’ in 1994. Digweed founded Bedrock Records in 1999, collaborating with Nick Muir under the alias Bedrock. In 2001, DJ Magazine voted him the World No. 1 DJ, solidifying his status as a global icon in electronic music. He has also had residencies at Heaven in London, The Beach in Brighton, and Twilo in New York City.
