Kenneth William Casey Jr., born on April 15, 1969, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as a founding member of the Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys. Casey’s musical journey began in 1996 when he formed the band with guitarist Rick Barton and singer Mike McColgan. He is now the only original member of the band. The band quickly gained attention for their energetic performances and unique fusion of punk rock with traditional Irish music. Besides his work with Dropkick Murphys, Casey founded The Claddagh Fund, a charity organization and owns Yellow Door Taqueria, a popular Mexican restaurant. He is a die-hard fan of Boston’s sports teams. Casey lives in Hingham, Massachusetts with his wife and children.
