Ricardo Emmanuel Brown (born November 23, 1972), most famously known as Kurupt, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He began his career with Death Row Records and rose to fame alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, but struggled to establish himself as a successful solo artist. Kurupt is a member of the rap group Tha Dogg Pound along with Daz Dillinger. Kurupt debuted on Dr. Dre’s The Chronic (1992) and continued to contribute guest appearances to successive Death Row releases, most notably Snoop’s Doggystyle (1993). He released his first album in 1998 titled ‘Kuruption!’. Kurupt was also a member of the hip hop group The Hrsmn. He has also appeared in films such as “Half Past Dead” (2002) and “The Wash” (2001), showcasing his versatility beyond music. Kurupt has also been involved in business ventures, including his own line of MoonRock blunts with Dr. Zodiak.
