Luke Campbell Donald MBE is an English professional golfer. He was born on December 7, 1977, in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. Donald is known for his exceptional short game and tactical approach. He turned professional in 2001 and quickly made his mark on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour (now DP World Tour). Donald reached the peak of his career in 2011 when he became the first golfer to win both the PGA Tour’s Money List and the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai in the same season. He also ascended to the top spot in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) in May 2011, holding the position for 55 weeks during his career. Donald has represented Europe in the Ryder Cup four times, being part of the winning team on each occasion. He captained the European team to victory at the 2023 Ryder Cup. He attended Northwestern University and is also a wine collector and artist.
