Patrick Craven Green, widely known as Pat Green, is a celebrated American country singer-songwriter who has significantly influenced the Texas country music scene. Born on April 5, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas, Green has built a remarkable career characterized by heartfelt songwriting and dynamic performances. Raised in Waco, Texas, he developed a passion for music influenced by his father’s involvement in stage acting. He started performing at local bars and clubs in Lubbock, Texas, during college. Green’s musical journey commenced during his time at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where he started performing at local bars and clubs. In 1995, he independently recorded and released his debut album, Dancehall Dreamer. Green’s appearance at the 1998 Willie Nelson July 4 Picnic was his first step towards nationwide recognition, and he was soon playing sold out shows in Texas. Green was sponsored by Miller Lite and sold more than 250,000 albums, even without signing a major label recording contract. Green’s first major-label recorded album, Three Days, repackaged his best pre-major songs and new tracks with modern sound engineering. The album was released to acclaim in 2001. He has been married to Kori Green since 2000. The couple shares two children and they reside in Texas.
